I have had a HP Deskjet 3050A J611 series for a couple of years and it worked fine. Now, the blue light is flashing and it is apparently not connected. Yesterday it had the same problem and then miraculously started to work allowing me to scan a couple of things. Today it isn't connected again. I can't find the disk! Help!

I've had my HP Deskjet 6988 printer for years and always had it connected to my desktop via USB 2.0 cable. I purchased a HP Envy laptop with Windows 8.1 and want to connect the printer via my home network/Belkin router, as the USB 2.0 cable that came with the printer doesn't seem to work in the Envy USB ports for direct printing . The software disk didn't work in the laptop, so I downloaded the software and utility (print and scan) software for 8.1 from the HP website.
I ran the downloads, the setup wizard started, said "The wizard will connect to the internet and help you install the best available software for your printer." I clicked next and a window opens "Discovering device" and then another "Retrieving install device" then...nothing. The wizard window closes. My setup manual is useless. It tells me to use the wizard on the software disk that doesn't work on my laptop (and is outdated and for the wrong OS anyhow, because it was for my desktop, which ran on VIsta.)
I did somehow manage to get the printer installed on the laptop - I can see it under the available printers. And if I have an ethernet cord connected directly from the printer to my router, it will print. But if I unplug the ethernet cord, it will not print. I can't keep the ethernet cord plugged in for printing, because the router is in my living room, behind the TV and my office is upstairs. I would rather not keep my printer on the living room floor by our TV, so I really need it to work wirelessly! :)
My problem is - how do I get the printer added to my home network (Belkin router). The wireless router is all set up and working - I'm actually using it right now to access the internet and post this message.
So, my printer is installed on my laptop. The driver is the most recent, intalled today from HP.com and I don't have a software disk to use for a setup wizard.
What are the next steps to connect my printer to the network, so I can print wirelessly? Hopefully, I've given enough information. I've read all of the help sections on HP.com customer service and none of them seem to tell me what to do.

My HP Officejet Pro 8600 can't print from my MacBook Air. It keeps on showing "The printer is not connected", but the screen on the printer shows connected. I often reset the printer 'EVERY TIME" I want to use it. I also tried to turn off my laptop and printer several times before printing. If I'm lucky enough, it will work maybe for one or two prints. If no luck then I'll have to reset everything again. Sometimes I reset the printer, the printer will not show on my selection.
I just purchased a new printer for one of my employees. (officejet 6100). I have an offece jet 8600 on the main wireless routher. The employee is on an extension of the network. ( main is xxx that extension is xxx_ext). The employee needs to be able to print to my printer and I need to be able to print to her printer.
How do I set up our machines so that we can print to each others printers ?
I am running MAC OS X (Maverick) and she is running Windows 7 Pro.
The wireless signal is about 4 bars +/- 1 bar.
Both have WPA encryption.
Any help greatly appriciated.
The printer worked well by wifi until I got a new BT hub but now does not recognise the new hub even though I have tried everything with passwords etc. I would be grateful for advice as I cannot now use the printer.
My HP 7520 all in one printer keeps going offline when in sleep mode. The network connection remains on but I am unable to print and have to reboot the printer in order to use it. I have tried HP Support via phone several times to no avail. I have set a manual IP address but it still doesn't work. My network provider has checked and everything is correct on their end. I have spent so many hours on the phone with HP but nothing they try ever works. Please help!

I have a brand new HP 2540 printer. It is connected wireless to my laptop. I am able to print documents (Word documents I have saved in my computer) but not from web pages. For example I booked a hotel room and wanted to print the document, but without luck. I have installed the printer from dvd. What might be the reason for this inconvenience?

The printer app on my hp photosmart estation C510a Zeen is dark and attempting to activate it by synching networks on the settings menu gives "printer not available on wireless network". However, it is available, and I can print from my computer fine. Also the Zeen is connected to the Internet fine. The computer is connected to the printer via a wireless connection. How to troubleshoot?
I am running a Mac and when I attempt to uninstall the software so that I can reinstall so that I can re set up my printer to connect through the network, it says that I can't open the uninstall application because PowerPC applications are no longer supported.
Before I tried this i printed the network configuration page and it came back with 0.0.0.0 for the URL and IP.
As an aside, I am connecting the printer to my system which is conencted to my network.
How can I obtain a windows 8 driver for my old Deskjet 990cxi to use to install via Apple Bonjour Print services for Windows so my Windows laptop can print via the Deskjet that is connected via USB to my Mac Mini which runs my network? Many thanks

The HP 7610 all in one is connected through a router to a desktop computer running Linux Ubuntu. When trying to print I get an error message saying connection error. HP Print Doctor wll not run under Linux. I did run the HP Network Configuration Page from teh printer itself. It indicates the Network status as ready. It also shows totall packets transmitted = 238. Total packets received = 285

I have one lenevo laptop Z580 with inbuilt Windows 8.1 & 1 desktop with windows 7.00, 1HP Laser jet M 1005 MFP & D-link wireless router, my laptop is connected to printer with wireless router, up to yesterday I can send print order to my printer and it absolutely works fine, but from yesterday it suddenly stops working, so I restarted the printer spooler option which i often used when my printer stopped working but this time it didn't work so when I checked the control panel, there is green YES remark on my printer but still it shows offline and also that printer picture is also faint which usually cleared or bold, but at the same time if I connet that printer with wire it works fine, the only problem is I can send it through wi-fi.
so please help me, how I can solve this problem as it is impossible for me to get print and my all office work is stuck down.
Today, I uninstalled and then reinstalled my all in one HP Officejet Pro 8500 printer software. My issue is as follows:
1. I configured the wireless information on my printer and it worked perfectly; however, my laptop (Dell XPS M1330) does not recognize the printer's configuration. I have uninstalled and then reinstalled the all in one printer software several times and the laptop will not recognize the wireless printer and allow a connection to it. I have also attempted the same process with my USB cable and the laptop does not recognize that the cable is connected to the printer.
I need to get this software properly installed so that I am able to print, scan and fax. Right now, I am unable to do any of it.

My HP Photosmart 6520 worked fine till now.
It is connected wireless to my home network. Connection to the router is ok.
- printing by wireless direct is working ok
- printing by eprint is working ok
- printing by usb is working ok
- scan send by email is working ok
- scan to computer not ok (does not see the different laptops in the system)
- printing from laptops is not working
- connection throug the EWS is not working, no connection possible (with wireless direct is working fine)
- try to reïnstall the printerdrivers= ok, but cannot find printer wireless...
I tried already factory reset on the printer and reconfiguring the wireless => no succes
I tried to change the ip-adres from the printer manualy => no succes
I changed the firewall setting in my router to LOW => no succes
Conclusion : verything is working fine except normal printing....
Someone an idea?
my 7520 all in one seems to download the recent update but then I get the message "Updating.....Do not power off the printer." and it is frozen. I have tried restoring it to factory defaults and restarting the router, I re-installed all of the original software and nothing works. The powerbutton won't shut it off so I have to unplug it and then when i plug it back in the whole problem starts all over again. Everytime I restart it, it eventually goes back to try reupdating and locks up so the whole machine is basically useless.
Please Help!
